There will be times in your life where you’re challenged, where nothing seems to be going right, where tragedy strikes and you’re left to pick up the pieces.
In some cases, being strong is simply about being able to persevere through extreme adversity. It can be something like the tragic loss of a loved one, or something extremely difficult like a global pandemic. It can be emotional trauma, like recovering from a divorce or a tough break up, or anxiety and fear of what is coming next.
Sometimes these experiences leave us feeling hopeless. But that’s no reason to stay down for long. No matter what you’re going through in life, other people just like you have gone through the same or worse and come out stronger on the other side. It is really about perception and it’s times like these you need to be strong and never give up.
Life will throw curveballs at you, it will humble you, it will attempt to break you down. And just when you think things are starting to look up, life will smack you back down with ruthless indifference. At least, that’s how it often feels, right?
The reason most people never achieve their dreams is because they simply give up. They don’t have a plan or consistent goals to work towards.
Life was never meant to be easy – its a constant struggle, with extreme lows and amazing highs. Remember that the times when its most important to persevere are the times that you will be most tested.
To help you in your quest to stay strong and persevere through adversity, remember that the struggles we face are there to make us stronger and come out the other side with a renewed feeling of success. Building a toolbox filled with tools to help you through the process.
